Votes for Schools
As we are caring citizens who care for our community, we have recently implemented Votes for Schools as part of our collective worship and assembly programme. Votes for Schools is a national program where children vote and provide feedback on a weekly question. This could be something generic or something in response to current affairs.
At Brookvale, we launch each question through an assembly. We explore the question within the assembly as well as reviewing the results from the previous question. Then, during a different collective worship session, we explore the question further and in more depth before voting. Such opportunities allow our children to develop their oracy skills and develop how articulate they are.
The feedback and votes are collated at a national level, and this is sent onto government departments, national organisations and charities. Meaning our Brookvale children are not just shaping our local community but on a wider scale at a national level.
